The hardware is fully redesigned, and is not the cheap shiny gold tarnishing ones you see, but a light gold brass with protective clear coat. I am now using loops that are even closer to the authentic (i.e., not oval but round, with thinner metal)- you can see the new hardware on the right in the harwdare photo. As well, I paid for new hardware to be made that wasn't "filled in" where it attaches to the strap. Now the hardware is finally PERFECT!!!

There is beautiful tight leather braiding woven around the edge of the bag as per authentic...using the CORRECT KIND OF LEATHER FOR THE BRAIDING which is different from the rest of the bag

The loop on top is bolted to the leather strap as per the authentic.

They are made of calfskin...as per the authentics!
