turbochargers and heat-resistant combustion equipment.</span> <span class="" style="font-size:16px;">Niobium forms a γ "phase in the grain structure of superalloys.</span> <span class="" style="font-size:16px;">Such alloys usually contain up to 6.5% niobium.</span> <span class="" style="font-size:16px;">Inconel
718 alloy is one of the niobium-containing nickel-based alloys
containing 50% of nickel, 18.6% of chromium, 18.5% of iron, 5% of
niobium, 3.1% of molybdenum, 0.9% of titanium and 0.4% of aluminum.</span> <span class="" style="font-size:16px;">Applications include as a high-end body material, as used in the Gemini program.</span></span>
